[MERGE] Quick hack to do batching in InterDifferingSerializer. Almost halves the HPSS round-trips fetching pack-0.92-subtree to 1.9-rich-root.

Looks pretty good.  The only question I have is: Are we sure that 
loading 100 trees simultaneously won't use insane amounts of memory on 
large trees?
