Comment:
It should be pretty easy to integrate into the upgrade code, and that 
should allow for it to be properly tested.  But that is some extra work. 
I'd be ok for you to put it in contrib if you put at least a little 
description of what it's for.  I'm assuming this is faster than the 
generic upgrade?
