Unfortunately because of the intersection of
<https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/soyuz/+bug/125103> (ppa archives are
not signed) and
<https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/218086>
(synaptic won't upgrade if there are unsigned archives) you may get to
a situation where the regular upgrade tools can't proceed.  In that
case you will need to run 'sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' from a terminal.
