Help with OS X issue please

Hi all,

I have been working with normsu in

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197125

to debug an issue on OS X where he can't branch
any project (at least from launchpad, I haven't asked
them to try others).

It seems to hang when reading the pack-names file. However
that file looks perfectly sane.

I'm at a loss, so I would appreciate some help.

In particular I would like a backtrace from when bzr is
hanging, however I don't know how to generate a SIGQUIT
on OS X to get this.

If someone could help out I would very much appreciate it.
