bzr editor setup

Hi,

I've got bzr 1.1, but this problem occurred also with 1.0. I'm using it on Mac 
OSX Leopard.

I do a commit. (bzr ci). Up comes vim, I add comments, hit ZZ, and I get the 
following:
bzr: ERROR: Could not start any editor.
Please specify one with:
 - $BZR_EDITOR
 - editor=/some/path in /Users/brett/.bazaar/bazaar.conf
 - $VISUAL
 - $EDITOR

bzr clearly did find the editor, as I was just using it! But it somehow loses 
the file after I save and quit. (Note that EDITOR is set to vim, and editor in 
the conf file is set to vim too, but I don't think this is the problem.)

Any ideas what the problem is?
