since it is easily readable when printed, the central section can easily 
use a smaller font size to accommodate revision spec info, but I'd need 
some feedback on what to include; would numeric and tag: formats suffice?

indeed; also "specify conflict as resolved" is perhaps more accurate 
than "manually resolve conflict"
