pygments for cdiff annotate/gannotate etc?

I ran into this package at Europython:

http://pygments.org/

It looks interesting, and I'm told its sane and nice to use. I'm
wondering whether we could make use of this to replace/extend our custom
diff highlighting (which is in bzrtools IIRC), and instead get syntax
highlighting *and* diff highlighting at the same time.

That would be really quite nice IMO.
