If you need pendrive only to sync 2 machines, then try
to initialize treeless repository on your pendrive,
and put branches without tree here:

bzr init-repo --no-trees /path/to/your/pendrive/somerepo
bzr push /path/to/your/pendrive/somerepo/somebranch
