At least for me the proposals are very helpful. Even if I have to 
translate project specific strings myself. And it helps to keep 
translations consistent between projects.

But the import has to be done only one time. And maybe because Bazaar is
used by Canonical they could speed up the import of Bazaar related
translations a bit.
