Yes, I have a backport 0.8 I believe of bzr on that system at the
moment, but builddeb requires 0.14 (thought I could go back to 0.13
actually now the deprecation fix is in, thanks).
Myself and Wouter had a quick stab at a backport of 0.13 the other day.
It is not that that is the problem, it is the dependency on paramiko,
which requires a new python-crypto as the one in sarge doesn't provide
2.4 modules. This in turn requires libgmp3-dev. This went through the
C++ ABI transition in the early days of wtch. There is a backport on
bpo I believe, but that is built against the new glibc they have and I
didn't want to force a libc upgrade for this.
I could go for a full etch chroot, or even go for an etch upgrade now,
but I don't really fancy that.
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
Thanks,
James
