is bzr log supposed to work with bzr 0.11?

I agree. With Goffredo's help I have a branch which provides help
topics. And options like --no-plugins, --no-aliases, and --builtins
could easily be documented there. All of those are accepted by all
commands, and disable plugin loading, aliases, and plugin commands
overriding builtin commands, respectively.
It would also be a place to put --profile-imports, or --lsprof,
- --lsprof-file, --profile, etc.
It needs just a little bit of polish still, before it is really ready to
land.
Now, as far as an ENV var instead of '--no-aliases'... I'm not as sure
of that. I don't really want to proliferate environment variables too
much. But if there is a specific need for one, then we can do so.
