A vegetarian Lernean Cryo-hydra, to pimp out my old DnD monsters. :)
(Lernean (sp?) hydras grow back 2 heads for every one you cut off, cryo
breathes cone-of-cold.).

And we could give him a cute name. Like 'Harry'.

Back on topic, a hydra would be kind of fun. I don't know that it
contains the idea of merging, but it definitely has the idea of branching.
