I think that would do well; I opened 
https://launchpad.net/products/bzr/+bug/6732 
for it.  

It's annoying and we should fix it soon but I don't think it needs to be
a last-minute fix for 0.7.

I'm going to move in Denys's statcache minimal fix and do that as
0.7rc2.
