Actually, in working with Aaron, I believe baz2bzr can implement a
continually updating arch->bzr gateway. (You just tell it to use a
branch you already have).

I think there is some possibility of different back-end storage methods
(hence the Storage/Branch objects). I have certainly thought about
implementing an Arch-style backend for storage, since that would let you
keep the atomicity guarantees. And would work pretty well as a push
target (it would work rather poorly as a working directory as we have
found out).
But that really has to wait until the other low-hanging fruit has been
plucked. (And with baz/tla being a little deprecated, it makes it less
useful to create the backend).
