Do you have a better link for that?  I got lost on that site but never 
found the python sftp server.

I wrote one based on paramiko, which I use to host my tla archives:
    http://www.lag.net/paramiko/2005/vault/
and I'd love to steal features :)  I didn't know anyone else had written 
one.
