any way to leverage git?

I am a total newbie to bzr with zero knowledge of the
underlying mechanisms.  Still I am guessing that bzr
has less inertia / vested-interest in existing design
and code than any of the other distributed vc projects.

So, given the work that Linus is putting into git, and
especially his emphasis on speed, I wonder whether
there is any leverage / synergy possible.
