I sympathize, but the guy with the checkbook chose the name. :-)  Call
it bzr if you prefer.

It seems to work for me.  Maybe you have an old version of tla?  In the
meantime I suggest you just get the tarball.

Yes, just a python 2.3 compatability problem; should be fixed soon.

Yes; this should be fixed I suppose to refuse to commit no changes
unless forced.
