I don't see a usecase for the machine's _actual_ hostname here. As far
as the Apache administrator cares, the "hostname" in the virtualhost
configuration blocks is the virtual hostname.

I think the thing to do is support "<hostname>" as the magic string and
have it mean the vhostname.
