I've pulled these into the 2.5 branch for 2.5.1 and pushed it to
launchpad, along with the warnings cherrypick from rev 1437 and the
fixup to the cache testsuite, rev 1501.

I'll be spinning a 2.5.1 rc2 shortly. Modulo John's response
about the kernel-patches/ directory, I'm not expecting any more changes
to the 2.5 branch before the 2.5.1 release.
