Thanks for the update. Some things still need to be fixed:
 * these files are still not in /opt/extras.ubuntu.com/qtiko
   - usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/qtiko.png
   - usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/apps/qtiko.png
 * This part of debian/copyright can be removed:
# Please also look if there are files or directories which have a
# different copyright/license attached and list them here.
   and please add something like this:
Format: http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/

Also when launching the app upon importing it hangs at 50%, even rescanning or passing a different directory made it hang at 50%. When I started it the second time it worked or at least showed me some songs.
