Hi George and Jono,

We would like to publish Lightread to the Ubuntu Software Centre, but
after review there have been a couple of issues that have been
identified as blockers:

* It seems that to check whether the user is online, a call to the
  upstream site is executed. It would be better if the connection
  could be checked with Google, and from your latest changes in Github
  I see that you've actually already implemented this.

* It seems that in the version reviewed [1], the sync spins forever and
  no feeds appear.

So if you could you please address the actions below asap, we'll then be
able to publish Lightread for everyone to download from the Ubuntu
Software Centre:

- Merge the packaging changes from [1] to your trunk branch
- Fix the issue with the online check
- Fix the issue with the feeds not being added
- Update the upstream bzr branch in Launchpad and let us know when
  it's ready for review
