Sounds like the values for xfwm4 have changed from using KP_1 (KP_2, etc.) for workspace switching to using Function keys instead. Now when I press trl-alt-F1 to F3 it just change my workspaces (I have three). Those keys combo do not appear in the Keyboard Application Shortcuts, nor in the "Window Manager, Keyboard shortcuts". As I have a nvidia card I removed the driver and reinstalled nouveau. But that didn't resolved my issue.
