You probably need a new video board. Make sure that IT is supported by Linux. Look at specs on the web site for the manufacturer. Read reviews at <a href="http://Newegg.com">Newegg.com</a> and look for comments about user experience with Linux. I got an ASUS from Amazon some time ago, ASUS GT610-SL-1GD3-L. There are sure to be later models. It worked well after I got the proper video cable - the issue was the monitor/TV combo. I got this one because I have a low profile case. Lower cost models are likely to be adequate unless you are a big-time gamer. The ASUS also handled Photoshop adequately (I dual boot too Widow$ to use Pshop.)
