I am trying to call into a conferencing website (<a href="http://uberconference.com" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">uberconference.com</a>,<br>
namely) and it can't seem to access my microphone.  The uberconference<br>
diagnosis page says "Failed to access your microphone".<br>

What's weird is that the microphone device is perfectly visible and<br>
activated in the PulseAudio control panel.<br>

I tried with Firefox extensions disabled, with the same result.<br>
This is Firefox 41.0 on Xubuntu 15.04.<br>

(the extra weird thing is that the same failure also occurs on a<br>
Windows VM...)<br>
<br>
Does anyone know what the issue could be, or where I could look to try<br>
and debug this?<br>
