yes this is possible. If you are programing the play/pause
media key or what to custom program your own keys. First read
the man pages on gmusicbrowser

man gmusicbrowser

and you will find near the bottom the topic of this command

CMD >~/.gmusicbrowser/gmusicbrowser.fifo

you will be using the PlayPause command in the above. Next open
the settings manager window in the "start" button bottom right
trio of buttons far left button.

All Settings ->(hardware)Keyboard->Application
Shortcuts

Click the Add button and type (cut and paste) the command:

PlayPause >~/.gmusicbrowser/gmusicbrowser.fifo

which should toggle the Play/Pause function. Click next and
push the key you want assigned. In my personal case the
play/pause media button shows as "XF86AudioPlay". Once you push
the buttons your command will be listed and you can try it out.
If you are concerned with impacting other programs the
play/pause does work with the use a custom combo like
ctrl+shft+p or something. HIH.
