the following works for the whisker menu, which is the default menu for<br>
14.04 and can be installed in earlier version via a PPA.<br>
<br>
Go to the keyboard settings, on the second tab click add. When it asks<br>
for the command use xfce4-popup-whiskermenu, then pick the shotcut of<br>
your choice. I use Super+less for it as it is easy to hit those with one<br>
stroke.<br>
