Incorrect. There is no reason why you couldn't run Xubuntu on a
modern machine. There's also no reason why it wouldn't be faster
than Ubuntu in majority of the cases.<br>

Those who run modern hardware can upgrade to 14.04 in a few months
in any case.<br>
