<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I found the Broadcom card(s) to be very
troublesome under 12.04 on several HP dv-series laptops (I think
dv5 and dv6). In fact, I was happy with my Broadcom card under
Ubuntu 9.04 and from there on out it went downhill. Under 12.04 I
coul;dn't get it to work so I spent US$ 10 and replaced the
broadcom card with a centrino based Wifi card. Works like a charm
now. <br>

The HP dv7 has a Broadcom 802.11 b/g WLAN, and I'm using Xubuntu
12.04.3 (64 bit) install CD for the test. Knoppix CD is 7.2.0.
