Is it possible you were using something like Fedora as your other
Linux OS? Up until 16, Fedora's UID started 500, I think, and Ubuntu
at 1000. Even if everything else was identical -- computer name,
group membership, name, password -- you still wouldn't be able to
paste or delete files/folders....<br>
