Albert,
I believe this occurs when you have too many old kernel headers that
have been replaced in synaptic package manager and you have a separate
boot partition ?
FIRST try to remove unnecessary packages resulting from installing and
uninstalling software:
sudo apt-get autoclean
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove
AND Lastly go to System/Synaptic Package Manager and search on:
linux-headers and click on Installed in left pane.
Maybe you have alot of old header versions out there that may be removed?
I only show three versions and
My amd64 was updated to version 3.2.0-56.86 the other day.
from 3.2.0-55.85 and I show a
3rd out there as 3.2.0-54.82
I run Ubuntu Tweak <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://ubuntu-tweak.com/">http://ubuntu-tweak.com/</a>
(UbuntuTweak has a nice janitor function that seems to work well for Me)
