work. I didn't realize it also uninstalled the XFCE Desktop and
other dependencies. Once I reviewed what I actually un-installed
(like XFCE-desktop), and re-installed, sound was restored. I also
had to relocate the backdrop/wallpaper folder for all my desktops.
Seems that the upgrade wiped out a bunch of configuration files?

I have 13.04 installed and my xfce shows:<br>
ii xfce4-panel
4.10.0-1ubuntu2 amd64 panel for
Xfce4 desktop environment<br>

I never lost any config files... but I also didn't re-install PA..<br>
what command did you use to uninstall, I can put it on the command
line & see what it wants to remove..<br>
