<div dir="ltr">All seems good. Writing this email from Xubuntu on my x55c. Just be sure to set your boot device to /dev/sda (the mbr) when setting up partitions. As well as ensuring you've got an EFI Boot Partition of at least 35MB created.<div>

There was a discussion on this a few days ago on this list. Sounds like<br>

I can tell you that Ubuntu Gnome is UEFI ready, as I'm dual booting it<br>
with Win 8 on a new laptop now. Going to be installing Xubuntu on it<br>
later today and wiping Windows 8.<br>
