<div dir="ltr">I don't have any specific gripes with Gnome 3. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate the minimal aspects of some DE's, like XFCE. Gnome 3 can't be described as minimal, by any definition of the word. </div>

Yes, I have looked at Novatech, and they will sell laptops with no OS. There is another site which may be of interest<br>

They make it easy to configure your laptop and then will build it to your spec. I have phoned them and they can tell you which models come with safe boot switched off for example.<div><div><br>
