<div dir="ltr">the reason /usr/lib/plymouth/themes is mentioned is because that's where Plymouth reads it's themes from, and that's likely your problem: the folder isn't there, either that, or Plymouth itself isn't installed properly.<div>

I'm using Voyager 13.04, a French distro -- straight Xubuntu with additional software.<br>

After the last update, the boot splash screen disappeared. It goes into text mode. I don't care whether the I get the Voyager splash screen. I actually prefer Xubuntu's. Are we using Plymouth? How do I reset the splash?<br>
