One alternative would be to create a panel launcher to eject whatever USB drive is plugged in, running a command line for you, e.g.<br />
<br />
umount /dev/sdb*<br />
or<br />
umount /dev/sdb?<br />
<br />
assuming the drive sda is the HDD and there are no other drives attached. If you wanted more flexibility, a launcher to a simple bash script from the panel that opens up with a list of drives to unmount could work quite well, if I find the time I might have a go at this. Just an idea.<br />
