Hello Liviu, and sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

I don't know of any plans to integrate Catfish into Xfce (I'm assuming you're speaking of adding it as an Xfce project? http://www.xfce.org/projects) Though, it will likely continue to be supported by Xubuntu at the very least. I plan to create a PPA for the project, though it will only support Ubuntu 12.04 and newer because of it's dependency on GTK3 and it's python bindings.

Thanks for your interest in Catfish, and I'll make another announcement once I've set the PPA up.

Sean

On Mon, Jun 25, 2012 at 8:00 AM, <xubuntu-users-request@lists.ubuntu.com> wrote:
Ric - do you mean that you have received 269 messages in one batch or
over a period of time? I have no messages waiting to be deleted and
Thunderbird is set to fetch new messages every 15 minutes. Just got
another message and notification says there are 78 messages.
Reinstalling it won't affect the user's config, which is likely to be
causing the problem (its unlikely to be broken system-wide unless you've
tampered with things). If you want to be sure though, do both.
Yay! I was hoping for a catfish revamp for years and now it is coming. :)

Two questions. Are there any plans to include catfish into Xfce, along
with Postler and Midori? And do you intend to provide a PPA for
catfish (namely, for Lucid and Precise)? I could help out to maintain
that.
