<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;">> The one thing I have done in recent weeks that is remotely related to all these is that I went to settings>startup and added xdaliclock as one of the startup appications (every so often the xdaliclock would disappeared after a number of reboot, even though I always have "saved session" on, and I was tired of restarting xdaliclock).  After the clock started showing up in the middle of the screen, I went back and removed this startup application, and soon after x-window crashed.</p>
