<font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">Hi all,</font></font><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">Wondered if someone might be able to shed some light on an issue I'm having.</font></font></div>
<div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">In XFCE, I'm experiencing horizontal screen tearing when moving windows round, watching videos with VLC, playing fullscreen games and other situations where there's a lot of screen movement.</font></font></div>
<div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">I'm using the official nVidia drivers and also have TwinView enabled so I can use two screens.</font></font></div>
<div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">Both screens report that they're operating at 60hz, which is fine since I've forced that through the xorg.conf file, but I've read in places that there might be some suggestion that Xorg is operating on the monitors at 50hz, perhaps explaining the screen tearing.</font></font></div>
<div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">Does anyone have any advice/suggestions on how to begin troubleshooting this issue, or perhaps if it's been resolved before?</font></font></div>
<div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif">Any help much appreciated!</font></font></div><div><font><font face="verdana,sans-serif"><br></font></font></div>
