I expected it to differ only in the use of the Xfce desktop rather than the Gnome2 desktop. What apps would YOU expect to find on an Ubuntu derivative?<div>

Xubuntu, and Xfce4 are both based around the idea of a lightweight but fully featured desktop. The apps I would expect to be included with xubuntu are lighter alternatives to those in ubuntu. </div>

</div>My guess is that it's *your* filtering that is confusing things, I hit<br>
this problem too. A mail from/to <a href="mailto:xubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com">xubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com</a> will be<br>
'seen' by a filter searching for <a href="mailto:ubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com">ubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com</a> so will<br>
quite likely drop into your Ubuntu mailbox. I needed to make my<br>
filtering search for <a href="mailto:xubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com">xubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com</a> first so that the<br>
messages to that list were correctly put into my xubuntu mailbox.<br>
<br>
I'm a member of both the xubuntu and ubuntu lists and they really are<br>
separate lists (and both get messages).<br>
