My understanding is that Xubuntu is a derivative of Ubuntu. I expected it to differ only in the use of the Xfce desktop rather than the Gnome2 desktop. What apps would YOU expect to find on an Ubuntu derivative?<div><div>
</div><div class="h5"><br></div></div></blockquote><div>I would expect find apps that fit the spirit of the derivative. for instance, I would expect to find kubuntu (kde variant) using mostly qt and kde apps. Xubuntu, and Xfce4 are both based around the idea of a lightweight but fully featured desktop. The apps I would expect to be included with xubuntu are lighter alternatives to those in ubuntu. </div>
