<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Hello, Mykie.</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">There are sometimes problems with upgrading X/ubuntu, and I have found this to be the case with the upgrading 2 PCs from Jaunty to Karmic.</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">I resorted to doing a fresh install of Karmic on my eeePC, and may need to do the same to fix a printing problem on my Xubuntu Karmic home file & print server.</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">If you have a simple setup, you might find the quickest fix is to do a fresh install, and copy across only the files you need from your previous install.</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">It is easy to shrink existing partitions and create a new partition using the Xubuntu Live CD and 'Partition Editor' (Gparted) and then do a fresh install to that partition.</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">I can give you more information (without command lines) if you decide to go down this track.</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">Regards,</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">David</span><br style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;">
