I think you are referring to the "System Load Monitor" panel plugin for xfce, and as far as i know of it only has an option to show cpu load as a whole, so i assume that on a dual proc/dual core machine it will show them as as average or just show which one is highest. If you are just curious to see how your processors are loading, there is a command line application called htop that you can install that will give you an interesting little ascii art load bar, project homepage here:

I am running a dual processor machine, and I put the CPU usage display<br>monitor that looks like a thermometer (histogram) in the Panel.<br><br>Is there a way to have a separate one for each processor? (I use<br>MenuMeters in OS X and it has a separate one for each processor).
