I'm not really sure as to how well this poll represents the *buntu population, because I think that many *buntu users (such as myself) rarely visit the Fridge discussion board. Having said that, I don't find it all that surprising that Kubuntu is so far ahead of Xubuntu, since I think KDE is quite a bit more popular than XFCE, since I think many people (epecially newcomers to the *nix world) see XFCE as a DE for old computers who can't run Gnome or KDE.
