I've changed the ISP that I use with this laptop. That took some manual work ... removing all traces of the 'old' login and password, so that there would be no confusion. Until I did this I was not able to log in at all.
<br><br>I wanted to install network manager, so I used apt-get to install the files. However, attempts to run this program from the command line or from a terminal have come to nothing. I can still connect with the older program 'network-admin' ... which was installed in this Xubuntu (
6.06). Any tips of how to make network-manager work please??<br><br>Richard<br><br>--<br>--<br>Irena and Richard Jenkins<br>'somewhere in Australia'<br>VK1NDV & VK1RJ<br>+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
