metacity to my knowledge is for gnome.... xfwm4 is for xfce, just kinda
a fyi incase you find yourself on a gnome machine and have the same

<br>Doesn't Ctrl+Alt+F2 switch to tty2 or whatever it's called? If it
is, and you pressed it, then you can press Ctrl+Alt+F7 to get back to
