Unfortunately that was a result of lack of man power, an issue
that has been solved now that Xubuntu has a larger user base and
therefore more active community members that can contribute to such
things as desktop documentation. It is something that will be fixed in
Feisty (the next release of Xubuntu expected in April). Sorry for the
confusion.

file called foo.release or something like that but I can't remember
where it is but you can do "uname -r" and that will tell you the kernel
release and if you have 2.6.17-10-generic you have Edgy, if it is
2.6.15-<something i can't remember> you have Dapper .... anything
earlier you should upgrade and if you have 2.6.20-<something> you
have a Feisty Alpha release<br>
