I&#39;ve often found that, whenever you need to run a program in the terminal, you just need to know it&#39;s name and type it out. For example, you can just write &quot;firefox&quot; by itself in it and it&#39;s there.<br>
<br>FYI there is also a nifty command called&nbsp;&quot;sudo&nbsp;apt-cache&nbsp;search&nbsp;(something)&quot;&nbsp;-&nbsp;where&nbsp;(something)&nbsp;is&nbsp;is&nbsp;really&nbsp;any&nbsp;kind&nbsp;of&nbsp;description&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;package.&nbsp;It&nbsp;really&nbsp;just&nbsp;helps&nbsp;you&nbsp;find&nbsp;packages&nbsp;to&nbsp;install&nbsp;and&nbsp;look&nbsp;at.
<br> <br>And don&#39;t forget about the nifty Synaptic Package Manager found in Applications -&gt; System.<br><br>Please remember that for most of this stuff you will need a root password.<br><br><div><span class="gmail_quote">
