I had this problem before for all accounts but mine, I didn't solve it then but when I re-installed Xubuntu later on it worked again. Perhaps you could try <a href="http://ubuntuforums.com">ubuntuforums.com</a>, you'll probably be able to get help there.

Hello<br>I am a new user of Xubuntu.<br>I installed it and works OK in my HP Omnibook 900 PII.<br>The only thing that does not is the sound card. No noise or sound at<br>all... :-(<br>If somebody can help, would be great!
