I remember at some point I had to force VB to upgrade to a 7.0 version.

Current setup:

VirtualBox 7.0.12 (!)
guest Windows 10
Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
Kernel 6.5.0-35-generic
All fully upgraded

No problems so far.

Have you tried going back to an older 7.0 version of VirtualBox?
