I'm all Intel (Lenovo T470 laptop).
It's definitely something to do with the 'local' set-up as it only
happens when pasting into a terminal window running bash on the
laptop. If I ssh to my desktop machine (running 20.10) and paste into
that window the reverse video doesn't happen - really strange!
